The River Counties Multiple Listing Service presented a scholarship donation at the Chattanooga State Community College Dayton Site. The new River Counties Association of REALTORS Scholarship will provide a $1,500 annual scholarship to an adult student enrolled at the Dayton site who is not eligible for Tennessee Promise. Priority deadline is March 1 for the upcoming 2015-2016 academic year. Students who complete the application by the priority date will receive preference with regards to scholarship awards.
In partnership with Chattanooga State Community College and the Chattanooga State Foundation, more than $800,000 in combined scholarship funding is provided annually for qualified Chattanooga State students, helping them prepare for careers or transfer to four-year universities.
Students who are eligible for Tennessee Promise or adult students looking for financial resources for college will find that many of Chattanooga State’s scholarships are designed to help with other costs beyond tuition, such as textbooks and technology that are not covered by Tennessee Promise and other forms of financial aid.
In addition, the school offers scholarship opportunities, like the River Counties Association of REALTORS, designed to meet the unique needs of adult students who are not eligible for Tennessee Promise.
