Cleanup Completed At Site Of Tanker Truck Overturn Near Haletown; I-24 Lanes Reopened

The environmental cleanup from last Thursday's tanker truck crash on I-24 East at mile marker 162 in Marion County has been completed, TDOT officials said.

New guardrail has been installed at the site near Haletown. 

I-24 is now open to two lanes.

The driver of the tanker truck remains in the intensive care unit. He was trapped under the truck and had to be extricated.
