Man Defends Himself With Gun In 2nd Home Invasion

  • Thursday, November 12, 2015

Chattanooga Police said a man defended himself with a handgun after he and his wife suffered a second home invasion within days.

Andrew Buckland said he bought the gun and a home security system after the first frightening incident.

He and his wife used the home security system on Thursday morning to determine that four young white males were outside their rental residence on Fairfax Drive off Hixson Pike.

Two of the teens, who were wearing masks, kicked in the back door and came inside.

Mr. Buckland was maced in the face, but he was able to retrieve the handgun and send the pair running away empty-handed.
