A missing 14-year-old girl from Catoosa County has been located in Gatlinburg.
Her parents were notified and immediately drove to Sevier County to retrieve her on Tuesday.
On Monday at 6:29 a.m., the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office had responded in reference to the missing juvenile. Between 11 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. on Monday, Adriana Jordan Elmore went missing from her residence.
Authorities had stated that she suffers from Asperger Syndrome. Based on prior events and statements she made to her siblings about wanting to “cross the mountain” it was believed that she left on foot into a wooded area on the east side of Taylors Ridge and headed west.
She was spotted in Dalton early Monday. She received a ride from Dalton and was dropped off at the Paul Huff Parkway exit on I-75 in Cleveland at about noon Monday.
She was spotted in the same area of Cleveland at approximately 4 p.m.
She had made statements that she wanted to travel to the Knoxville/Gatlinburg area. It is believed that she continued to receive rides from strangers.
