Fairfield Glade, TN. – The Dalton State men’s tennis used a beautiful Saturday afternoon to knock off Tennessee Wesleyan, 6-3. Then again, it’s never really bad when you are playing the indoor courts here.
The Roadrunners jumped out early by winning two of the three doubles pairings. “Joe and Lucas really dominated their match to get a point up on the board for us,” said Coach Zac Rogers. “Adam and Nik were steady as always and closed out their match with big serves in the tie breaker”

“This was a solid win for the guys,” said Rogers. “Tennessee Wesleyan was a tiebreak away from Nationals last year and they have a real shot at making it this year. Sebastian, Jose and Bray really stepped up. These three guys are going to be the anchors in the middle of our lineup all year. It really takes the pressure off Adam and Nik, knowing these guys can close out matches the way they did today”.
The Roadrunners host the University of the Cumberlands at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16.
