TBI Says Physical Injuries Did Not Cause The Death Of Bledsoe Detective

The TBI said Wednesday that physical injuries did not cause the death of longtime Bledsoe County detective Ricky Seals.

His body was taken to Nashville for an autopsy after it was spotted in a field about four miles from Pikeville early Tuesday morning. 

The TBI is still awaiting results of the toxicology report on the death of the 55-year-old law enforcement officer.

He was found on a dirt road in a field by his Jeep near Slaughterhouse Road.

Detective Seals was also a firefighter.
