City, County Pitching In $250,000 Each For New Finley Stadium AstroTurf

The city and county are set to contribute $250,000 each toward the installation of a new AstroTurf field at Finley Stadium.

Paul Smith, stadium director, said the new field will allow soccer as well as football at the stadium that is owned by the city and county.

He said he is in talks with the National Soccer Association on bringing national events here.

Mr. Smith also said he is working to bring concerts to Finley Stadium.
