Multiple Shots Fired At Man On 36th Street, Woman On Dodson Avenue

A man told police that two suspects fired multiple shots at him early Sunday morning. Later in the morning, someone in an SUV fired numerous shots at a woman who was in a vehicle on Dodson Avenue.

At approximately 1:57 a.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 2100 E. 35th St. for a person shot.

The victim, Javon Clark, stated he heard a vehicle outside his residence and observed two unknown suspects approach and begin firing.

He was struck by the gunfire and transported himself to a local hospital.

His injuries are non-life threatening.

Clark was unable to provide any further suspect information to Investigators.

Then at approximately 4:02 a.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a local hospital for a person shot.

A female victim arrived via a personal vehicle at a local hospital for a gunshot wound.

The victim, 25-year-old Erica Jones, stated she was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on 2900 Dodson Ave.

She said a white SUV pulled behind the vehicle she was in and an unknown suspect opened fire.

The suspect fired multiple shots into the victim’s vehicle from the SUV and then fled.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
