A fire destroyed a home in the Dallas Bay/Soddy Daisy area Thursday afternoon.

At 11:45 a.m., a 911 call was made reporting a brush fire at 9400 Lonesome Trail. The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported a mobile home was on fire and burned to the ground.

Due to the hot temperatures, the Dallas Bay VFD requested a mutual aid response for additional manpower. The Red Bank Fire Department and Soddy Daisy Fire Department responded.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

No injuries were reported and damages are unknown at this time.
