Funeral Will Be Monday For Brian Gallaher, Killed In I-75 Crash

Funeral arrangements have been announced for Brian Everett Gallaher, one of the victims in Thursday evening's crash on I-75.  

The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Westmore Church of God on Monday at 2 p.m.

In honor of the Gallaher family, the Bradley County Sheriff's Office and the Cleveland Police Department will escort the funeral procession from Westmore Church of God, at 2412 Wolfe Drive NW in Cleveland to Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1700 South Ocoee Street. The procession will stop in front of Ocoee Middle School in honor of Brian, his family and friends. 

Mr. Gallaher, 37, was the band director at the school.

He was a 1996 graduate of Bradley Central High School and a 2000 graduate of Lee University. He received his masters of music trumpet performance from Lee University in 2010. He was a well-known musician in the Cleveland and Chattanooga area, assisting also with the Walker Valley High School Marching Band. He was a member of the Westmore Church of God where he served as orchestra coordinator and member as well as director of the youth orchestra. He was described as a devoted family man who loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carolina Bright Holloway and Jack Everett Holloway; and paternal grandfather, Bryan Keith Gallaher.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Jaclyn Watkins Gallaher of Cleveland; children, Sean Everett Gallaher and Katelyn Marie Gallaher; parents, Terry and Sharon Holloway Gallaher of Cleveland; brother, Casey Sean Gallaher and wife, Hollie of Cleveland; niece and nephew, Sadie and Easton Gallaher; paternal grandmother, Betty Haney Gallaher of Cleveland; father and mother-in-law, J. Michael Watkins and Denise Smith Watkins of Cleveland; brother-in-law, John Watkins of Nashville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Officials are estimating the funeral procession will leave Westmore Church of God around 3:30 p.m. and proceed east on 25th Street to Ocoee Street and south on Ocoee Street until the destination at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Officials said, "We encourage community participation and support for this family. Please feel free to show your support by lining the streets along the procession route."
