Boynton Lions Assist Georgia Baptist Children's Home

Boynton Lions Club donated $114 to assist the Georgia Baptist Children's Home. President Richmond Blackwell presented a check and box of pennies to Johnny Jennings to add to the funds he raises for the home from his recycling ministry.  

Mr. Jennings has raised more than $385,000 for the home through his 30 years of collecting recyclables.  

For more information on the home, visit www.gbchfm.org/. The Lions work on a statewide level with Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind and the Emory Child Care Center.

Another community project is the long-term care and maintenance of the Dailey Hill Cemetery.The group is now receiving donations from friends and relatives of those interred there to assist with the costs of mowing and upkeep. Donations may be sent to Boynton Lions Club c/o BUMC, 4246 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia 30736.

Boynton Lions Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at  Boynton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. For information call 991-1837.
