Malik Rollins In Stable Condition After Being Shot In "Gang-Related" Case

A teen is in stable condition after being shot in East Chattanooga in what police said was a gang-related case.

The victim was identified as Malik Rollins, 18, of Camden Street.

At approximately 10:01 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital on a shooting victim. Once on the scene Officers spoke with Rollins.

He said he was walking down the street when someone began shooting at him from a vehicle.

He was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.

Chattanooga Police Major Crimes investigators are conducting an investigation of the shooting.

No detailed suspect information is available at this time.

The shooting occurred near 1300 Dodson Ave.
