Ooltewah's Andy Picklesimer inherited the $10,000 victory at Southern Raceway in Florida after hometown racer Cody Smith's car failed post-race technical inspection.

Picklesimer, in his # 1 "Home Pros Painting and Stealth Carburetor" sponsored race car, had crossed the line 0.596 seconds behind Smith in the 40-lapper for Crate Late Models, after starting on the outside the front row.

Florida's Mark Whitener led the first 25 laps of the event but faltered to 17th with mechanical problems.

Georgia second generation racer Travis Pennington started 18th and finished fourth behind Alabama's Justin McRee. Mississippi's Marcus Minga rounded out the Top 5 Saturday night.
