A boy who was found with his younger sister in a pool in Bradley County has died.
Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson issued the following statement:
"We are saddened to report the male juvenile found in the swimming pool on Georgetown Road has died.
"Michael Vincent Thomas "Mikey" Lombardi, 10, passed away at 1:30 p.m. at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital.
“I was saddened to hear of the death of Michael Vincent Thomas Lombardi, who many just knew as Mikey.
This is a very sad day for our community, and I encourage residents to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers tonight. Mikey will truly be missed by his School Resource Officer at Hopewell Elementary School, Dep. Mitchell Roe. Mikey may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”
