Harold Horne Hurdest, 68, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016.

He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church and worked for National Posters, Inc. and Vincent Print for many years. He enjoyed painting and was an avid drag race fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mary Horne, and siblings, Buddy Horne, Ed Horne and Erline Horne.

Survivors include his brothers, Marvin Horne (Janie) and Arville Horne (Margaret); sister, Alpha Durrance (David); step-daughter, Sondra Weathers; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wilburn Hardyman officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
