Jonathan David “J.K.” Ketterer , of Savannah, Georgia, and formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died onThursday, April 28, 2016. He was 29.

Jonathan graduated as an architect from Savannah College of Art and Design where he also competed on their swim team. He was very active as a triathlon competitor and worked as a fitness instructor in the Savannah area. He also worked part-time as a waiter for Lady & Sons Restaurant.

He was a member of Duncan Park Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, H. E. Cornelius and uncle, Steven Cornelius.

Survivors include his parents, Barry and Mary Ketterer, of Chattanooga, two sisters, Rebecca (Hudson) Ellis, of Ooltewah, Lizzy (Brandon) Whited, of Chattanooga, two nieces, Madelaine Ellis, Claire Ellis, two grandmothers, Madelaine Cornelius Box, of Chattanooga, and Rita Guerra, of Smyrna.

The family will receive friends from 58 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, Valley View Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the SCAD Swim Team at 342 Bull Street, Savannah, Ga. 31402.
