Can someone please contact the contractor that did the work on the Highway 153 airport exit and let them know they need to come back and finish? Or maybe the check bounced? Or maybe we failed to set up a bonus payment for early completion and now there is no incentive to finish at all.
In all seriousness I would be happy for someone from TDOT to give a serious response to this question. This is a dangerous intersection when trying to turn left against oncoming traffic coming across the bridge. Someone is going to get seriously hurt.

All TDOT projects are documented on the state website (https://www.tn.gov/tdot). This was taxpayer dollars going out to widen the bridge over 153 to accommodate the new Coca Cola facility, which in fairness, did help alleviate traffic for the daily Amnicola 500.
Additionally they put out a weekly flyer of updates on exactly what they are doing the week of xxx for their current projects (e.g.
https://www.tn.gov/tdot/news/43163 is this weeks).
The completion date is scheduled to be in October and Jones Bros. is the contractor on site.
