Ronald Michael "Ronnie" Roan, 66, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, in a Rome hospital.
He was born in Arab, AL on Feb. 3, 1950, son of the late Grady and Helen Margaret Kilgore Roan.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hamby Roan; children, Hattie Mae Evans, Leon & Sandy White, Billy Frank & Elizabeth Willingham, Shawn Douglas Rains and Michael Leon & Shannon White; grandchildren, Timothy Evans, Daisy White, Todd White, Shane Evans, Anthony Hamby, Shay White, Tommy Hamby, Austin White, Stephanie Hamby, and Steven Hamby; great grandchildren, Kielee Owens, Lane Evans, Julie Eskew, Destiny Evans, & Catherine McFarland; sisters & brothers, Donnie Ray & Tammy Roan, Zandel & Judy Roan, Geneve Edwards, Carolyn & Tony Prater, Louise & Roger Jenkins, Loyle & Ruthie Roan, Dolye & Gail Roan, Alton Roan, Eddie Lee Roan, and Era Mae McGraw; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. from the First Born Church of God with Rev. Bobby Brown and Rev. Kenny Ash officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Shawn Rains, Michael White, Austin White, Steven Hamby, Anthony Hamby, and Shane Evans; Honorary Pallbearers Josh Bates, Jimmy Murdock, Pete Huggins, Dillon Murdock, Johnny Craig.
Mr. Roan will be in state at his residence, #306 James Street, Summerville, GA, from Tuesday afternoon until the hour of service Thursday.
