William Dean Abbott, 49, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

He was born April 16, 1967 in New Castle, In. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his brother, Don C. Abbott, Jr.; sister, Christy Rena Abbott Murphy; grandparents, Wilbur and Lora Abbott and Ross and Emma Alsip.

He enjoyed gardening and raising quail. He had a passion for life.

Survivors include his parents, Don and Carol Abbott, nieces and nephews, Don C. Abbott III “Trey”,  Rob C. Murphy, Jr., Sandra Danelle Murphy, and Ariana Murphy; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.
