Tatum, Edith Gail (Cleveland)

Edith Gail Tatum, 66, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away early Saturday morning at the family residence.

Edith was the daughter of the late Virginia Jo Dockery Lacy and Jack Lacy. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. At the time of her death, she was employed with the Bradley County School System, working in the Cafeteria at Trewhitt/Lake Forest School with over 32 years of service. She loved to rescuing animals and caring for them. Edith was a member of the Four Point Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Roy Tatum of Cleveland; her daughter, Shasta Tatum Kotulski; her son, Shawn Tatum; her grandchildren, Zarek Kotulski, Tyler Tatum and Kaleigh Tatum all of Cleveland; her aunt, Wilma Alexander of Norcross, GA; her uncle, Bobby Dockery of Rome, GA; and several cousins.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services with Reverend Benny Watson and Reverend Ray Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery with Jimmy Tatum, Randall Tatum, Lonnie Bridges, John Cannon, Ennis Hawkins, Tyler Riden and Casey Cloer serving as active casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Zarek Kotulski. A dove release will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
