Steve Highlander and Karitsa Jones (formerly Mosley) were chosen to leadership posts on the County School Board on Tuesday afternoon.

Rhonda Thurman, who got to be chairman for 15 days, was nominated but declined.

She moved to the top post based on seniority after Chairman Jonathan Welch and Vice Chairman Donna Horn were defeated in the election.

All voted in favor of Mr. Highlander except for David Testerman.

It was unanimous on the nomination of Ms. Jones.
