Barney Keith
Barney Keith, Jr., 83, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at his home.
He was born June 16, 1933 in Chatsworth, Ga., to the late Emma Rebecca and Barney Keith, Sr.
Mr. Keith was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
He was a member of Cohutta First Baptist Church and was retired from Krispy Kreme Donuts following many years of service.
His wife, Barbara Lynn Martin Keith and siblings, Edward Keith, Earl Keith, Jean Keith, Jackie Keith, Joe Keith and Inez Suits preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Anthony Lane (Rhonda) Keith of Chattanooga; daughter, Jeannie Lynn (Tim) Hughes of Cleveland; grandchildren, Zachary Hughes, Micah Hughes, and Kirian Keith all of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m. at Cohutta First Baptist Church with Reverend John Bagley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5-6 p.m.
He will be laid to rest at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
