Shannon Smith, 49, was killed in an accident early Thursday morning in Bradley County. Her passenger, Desmond Benton, 35, was injured and taken to a hospital.
The accident happened around 1 a.m. on Mt. Zion Road.
It was reported that Ms. Smith was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected, when the car rolled over after hitting a culvert and a pole. Mr. Benton was wearing his seatbelt.
