Held Long Career With CSX Railroad And Was Avid Golfer

Charles Wayne Kemp, 74, of Wildwood, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017, in a local hospital. 

He was an avid golfer and loved to ride motorcycles, travel and camp.  He was retired from CSX Railroad after over 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Nettie A. Murray Kemp; two sisters, Charlotte Chenault and Sharon Revell and a brother, James Kemp.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Kemp; son, Mark (Candy) Kemp; daughter, Michelle (Steve) Houston; step children, Mike (Michelle) Brock, Susan (Jeff) Townson and Jerry (Krista) Brock; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, David Chenault; several nieces and nephews; one special niece, Tammy Creech.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on  Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
