  • Monday, February 13, 2017
Chambliss Center for Children, in collaboration with Events with Taste, will host their fifth Annual Mardi Gras Gala on Friday, Feb. 24, from 7-11 p.m. at the Bessie Smith Hall, 200 East M.L. King Blvd.

The evening will feature Cajun-inspired fare, cocktails, Dixieland Jazz by the Ralph Miller Quartet, late-evening DJ and dance party, and lots of New Orleans-style fun. The event also features a crowning of the Mardi Gras King and Queen, who will lead guests in a parade throughout the venue.

“We are very confident saying this is the most fun Mardi Gras party in town,” said Katie Harbison, vice president of Chambliss Center for Children.
“Our attendance grows every year, so it’s a great opportunity to introduce new people to the work Chambliss Center for Children is doing in this community.”

Tickets for the Mardi Gras Gala are $60 for individuals or $100 per couple through Feb. 16. After that, the cost will increase to $70 for individuals and $120 per couple. Companies or groups of friends have the option of purchasing tables. The “Krewe” level is $500 and includes a reserved table for eight, special beads and party favors. The “Super Krewe” level is $1,000 and includes the same benefits as the “Krewe” level plus additional party favors, signage at the event, and pre-event publicity. Tickets may be purchased through the website, www.chamblisscenter.org, or by calling 423468-1122.
