Kester Calfee69of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his residence. 

He retired from Allied Bendix after 31 years of service and was a deputy for the Bradley County Sheriff Department for 11 years until his retirement in 2016.  Kester was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association.  He was of the Baptist faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ethel Wade Calfee

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy Marr Calfee of Cleveland; son, Mark Calfee and fiancée, Allison Young, both of Cleveland; sister, Karen Miller and husband, David, both of Cleveland; brother, John Calfee and wife, Merrilyl of Cohutta, GA; special cousins, Dorothy Wade and her son, Dewayne, both of Hampton, VA; and several nieces and nephews. 

The service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Davis and Sheriff Eric Watson officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with the honor guard from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

His family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 21 at the Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
