Spurlock, Frank, Jr. (Dayton)

Frank Spurlock, Jr., 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel with Brother Chris Douglas officiating.

Frank worked for Bechtel on projects worldwide which included putting out the oil well fires and rebuilding the oil fields after the first Gulf Wai in Kuwait, he worked on pipeline project from the Sahara Desert that sends oils and gas to Europe, an oil refinery in Russia and also replaced a Nuclear Reactor in Ohio, just to name a few. They loved to travel and some past residences included Puerto Rico, Greece, Holland, and Ireland. He also served in the Army National Guard. 

Mr. Spurlock was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah C. Spurlock; his first wife and mother of his children, Theresa C. Spurlock: parents, Frank and Lucille Spurlock and sister, Vivian Spurlock.

He is survived by his children, Kathryn (Dan) Wilkes, Frank (Trish) Spurlock III, Gina (Glen) McDaniel, Ava (Jeff) Dirickson and Stepson, Dr. Eric Crouch; seven grandchildren, Amber Wilkes, Hilary (Dustin) Gish, Mitchell (Nicole) Hunter, Shelby Dirickson, Holly Barnes, Cody Dirickson, and Joseph Jones; six great-grandchildren, Haiden and Vanessa Hunter, Malia Gish, Kamryn, Emma and James Jones; two brothers, James (Barbara) Spurlock and Pete (Joyce) Spurlock; dear friends who are thought of as family, Pavneet Kaur (Vinny), LaDonna, Robin and Stacy Barnes; his Bechtel family from around the world; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and Lance Spurlock.

Memorial contributions can me be made to First United Mehodist Church Mission Fund in Dayton, Tn. in his honor.
