Harris, Charles Devoe "Chuck" Jr. (Trion)

Mr. Charles Devoe “Chuck” Harris, Jr., 53, of Trion, Ga. passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Harris was born in Summerville, Ga. on May 3, 1964, son of Nancy McNeese Harris and the late Charles D. Harris, Sr. He was a supervisor at Mt. Vernon Mills and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons fan. Mr. Harris was a classic car enthusiast, loved car shows, and spent countless hours working on his Ranchero. He was a devoted family man and loved being with his family. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Harris, Sr. and his grandparents.

Mr. Harris is survived by sons, Dustin Harris and Jacob Harris; Mother and step father, Nancy Harris and Ray Shaw; sisters, Angie (Roy) Gifford and Tina (Kenneth) Burrage; former wife and close friend, Dawn Harris; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Harris will be held Wednesday, June 28 at 4:30 p.m. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the White Cemetery in Villanow.

Pallbearers will be Donald Hatcher, Bo Dunn, Eric Dover, Jerry Hatcher, Terry Bolden and Shane Hatcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Adams, Donnie Hatcher, James Hatcher, Brenda Stoker, Janice Hankins, David Jenkins, Scott Teague, Terrell Baker, Doug Gill and Mickey Barnette.

Mr. Harris will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
