A home in Harrison was totally destroyed by fire on Wednesday night shortly after the family left for vacation.

At 9:45 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a house fire at 6351 Rim Crest Lane (Harvest Run subdivision). The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting the house was fully involved with fire.

Firefighters quickly conducted a defensive attack to get the fire under control and to alleviate the fire from causing heat damage to adjacent homes.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the firefighters.

Fire officials reported the house is a total loss and valued at over $175,000.
