A vehicle involved in a carjacking behind the Brainerd Walmart on Wednesday night wound up crashing into two other vehicles after exiting I-75 Northbound at Shallowford Road. Duckett, 35, of 8704 Snow Hill Road, Ooltewah, was arrested along with passenger Emily Baggett, 25. Several people suffered minor injuries.

At 6:30 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to near the 6000 block of Cornelison Road.

An officer responding to the call observed the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene, traveling north on Lee Highway while weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. Police said the car was being driven "extremely recklessly" while forcing several other motorists off the road.

A pursuit was initiated which traveled from Lee Highway to Highway 153 and on to the I-75 Northbound off-ramp on Shallowford Road.
