Woman Says Former Boyfriend Beat Her Up, Robbed Her At Coin Laundry

A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend beat her up and robbed her at a coin laundry.

Deonta Lebron Ford, 24, of 41 Scruggs St., is charged with aggravated domestic assault and robbery.

In the incident last Saturday, the woman said she was at the laundry at 1500 Dodson Ave. when Ford entered. He said he began pushing and threatening her for leaving him.

She said when she yelled for someone to call police, he told her to be quiet and threatened to beat her if she asked again for someone to call police.

When she yelled for help again, she said Ford began beating her with his fist, knocking her to the floor. She suffered a laceration to the left side of her forehead and bruising and swelling to her face and eyes.

She said while she was on the floor bleeding that Ford went through her pockets and took her cell phone, ID and EBT card.
