Willie Owens
Willie Joe “John Lewis” Owens, 77, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Jewel Owens; parents, Clyde and Luther Owens, Sr.; sister, Ann Wheelous; brothers, Ben Aubrey, Walter Frank, and Luther Owens, Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Alvern and Ovetta Owens.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted son, Broderick Owens, Jackson, MS; Kevin Owens, AL, and daughter, Sacre Wills, AL; his companion of 30+ years, Pearl Sanders, LA; brothers, Billy Joe (Tempy) and Eugene Owens, Chicago, IL, Ike Lollis, Houston, TX; sisters, Bobbi Owens, Prattville, AL, Delores (Reginald) Readus-Elder, Daphine (Tarel) McClurkin, both of Chattanooga, and Sarah Lollis, Houston, TX; aunt, Mildred Broome; devoted nieces, Theresa Young (sister-niece) and Eugenia (Willitrian) Stewart; special cousins, Loyette Owens and Lurlene (Lonnie) Person; sister-in-law, Edra Owens all of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be on Monday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
