Ann Callahan Matthews, 72, a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018, at a local hospital.

Ann retired from Duracell where she worked for more than 40 years. She loved basketball, NASCAR, and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Callahan and Kathryn McAlister Callahan.

Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Kathy (Mike) Maupin and Jason Callahan; grandchildren, Justin Withrow and Tanner (Marissa) Withrow; great grandchildren, Lily Withrow and Lailah Withrow; brothers, Dannie Callahan, David (Priscilla) Callahan, and Jeff (Deedra) Callahan; sisters, Faye (Ralph) Watson and Janet (Eddie) Evans. Along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. at Chilcutt Cemetery with Reverend Guinn Green officiating.
