A Chattanooga man has been charged with murdering his son at a business off Amnicola Highway on Monday night.

Billy Forte, 66, is charged with criminal homicide in the death of 47-year-old Charles Forte.

The incident happened at 7:30 p.m. at 910 Creekside Road.

Officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness who was working with the victim said Billy Forte came to the business and the father and son had a brief conversation. He said Billy Forte went outside and returned about a minute later with a .410 gauge shotgun.
