Nickels for Nepal announces the sale of donated artwork to benefit the children in remote village schools in Nepal.  Mr. Larry Bullington, local artist and owner of “The Masters Studio” will be on site to demonstrate his approach to a form of art called “Take a Line for a Walk.”

Mr. Bullington will be discussing his approach to artwork at Braxton Mill Artisans, 8717 Hixson Pike, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from Mr. Bullington and will have access to materials to enable them to create a unique piece of artwork.  Mr. Bullington’s donated artwork will be available for sale at this time.

"His variety of mixed media, oils, pastels, acrylics, and abstract artwork that is available demonstrates his experience and expertise," organizers said.

Two original one-of-a-kind pieces valued at over $2,500 each will be auctioned during a silent auction between 11 a.m.-3 p.m.  The winning bids will be announced at 3 p.m. and the bidders must be present to take home these pieces of artwork.

Chris Hockert, board chair of Nickels for Nepal, states, "The importance of this sale is to raise funds to support school children in the remote villages in Nepal.  These school children would not have any uniforms to attend school and remain in school. They would not have any school supplies or an opportunity for educational scholarships.”

Braxton Mill Artisans (423-305-2570) sale hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  Donated artwork to Nickels for Nepal is available during these hours. Funds raised support underprivileged school children in remote villages of Nepal.
