More than 65 TVA employees volunteered at Chambliss Center for Children today during their 24th Annual Day of Serving.
It was a crisp Fall day for these highly-skilled workers, and they completed nearly 40 projects on the agency’s wish list. Volunteers tackled interior projects such as cleaning, painting, replacing ceiling tiles, and organizing classrooms.
Exterior projects included gutter repairs, sanding and re-painting building columns, pressure washing, mulching, and landscaping.
“We look forward to TVA Day of Serving all year,” said Alissa Miller, Communications Coordinator for Chambliss Center for Children. “This highly-skilled volunteer group is always ready to tackle whatever project we ask them to do, and they knock out an entire year’s worth of projects in one day.”
