Hamilton County Assessor of Property Marty Haynes said Tuesday his office has been made aware of phone calls to the public regarding a summons to court from the Assessor’s Office and asking the public for personal information.
Assessor Haynes stated “My office does not summons anyone to court. Also, we never ask the public for personal information, social security number, bank account, etc. The only reason my office would call a property owner is to schedule an appointment to review property values.”

Mr. Haynes reminds the public his office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, the office will be closed for Thanksgiving Day and Friday.
