Eileen L. Pangle, 93, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret Macpherson and was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Pangle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Gladys Macpherson, Ronnie and Edna Macpherson; and sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Birdie.

Eileen was raised and educated in Manchester, England. During WW II she met and married Staff Sargeant William A. Pangle of Rocky Face. They spent the next 20 years traveling across the United States as well as Germany, France, England and Japan, before settling down in Rocky Face in 1960. Eileen served as Whitfield County Deputy Clerk of Court retiring after 26 years. She was active with the Marcelle Dancers and the Dalton Whitfield Senior Center. She was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Evans (David) of Rocky Face, Dee Patton (Ronnie) of Dalton and Chris Tripp (Dr. Andrew) of Cartersville, Ga.; grandchildren, Brig. Gen. Marc Evans (Kelly), Pastor Matt Evans (Beth), Traci Hawkins (Thomas), Lori Reyher (Paul), Jennifer Barron (Jackie), Justin Harris (Kristen), Dr. Jake Tripp (Lauren), Tatum Wilson and Ronnie Brown (Taylor); 25 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Tranquilty of Dalton and Amedysis Hospice for their care of Eileen.

Services will be Friday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. at Rock Bridge Community Church at The Wink Theater  with Pastor Matt Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Dunagan Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials may be made to Rock Bridge Community Church, 121 West Crawford Street, Dalton Ga. 30720.
