Steve Harris, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019.

Steve was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area and attended Brainerd High School.  He was owner and operator of Steve Harris Home Inspections.  Steve was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church, where he served as Head Usher and was very active in the Wild Game Dinners for the church.  Steve loved NASCAR, his Z-350, hunting and coaching youth baseball at Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Harris and step-father, James E. Garner.

Steve is survived by two sons, Shawn and Josh Harris; grandchildren, Arianna and Shawn Avery Harris; mom, Ann Harris Garner; brothers, Charles (Suzanne) Harris and Mike Harris; two nephews and a niece.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, and 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Friday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. 

A Celebration of Life service for Steve will follow at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Walliser officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
