Hamilton County Corrections personnel used a taser on Wednesday at approximately 9 p.m. to subdue an inmate who was in possession of a shank (a handmade weapon fashioned into a knife).
Prior to being subdued, the suspect inmate injured a fellow inmate with the shank. The inmate’s injury did not require hospital treatment.
This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Hamilton County Sheriff Office Criminal Investigation Division.
The names of the inmates are being withheld at this time.
