Brandon Chase Summey
A federal indictment has been issued against Brandon Chase Summey charging that he had illegal weapons in October and November 2017 and again in May and July of last year.
Summey, 21, is charged with multiple drug and gun violations.
The 15-count indictment says on Oct.
12 and Nov. 10, 2017, he was using drugs while carrying a firearm.
It says on May 25, 2018, he was dealing in marijuana and was caught with a stolen firearm.
The indictment says he was caught with a silencer as well a sawed-off rifle.
In the May 25, 2018 incident, police said a concerned community member asked them to check into suspicious activity on Garfield Street. Police investigated and wound up arresting Summey and Dylan Heard, who was 18 at the time.
Officers seized four firearms, nearly two kilos of marijuana, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
Summey in that incident was charged in state court with alteration of serial numbers, possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, unlawful sale, loan, or gift of a firearm, drug violations, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
