Cleveland State Men's Basketball has added another talent to their 2019-2020 roster in Jon Morgan.
The 6'6" guard and small forward attended Combine Academy in Lincolnton, North Carolina.
"Jon is an athletic wing who will help us with his length and understanding of the game," head coach Lee Cigliano said. "We are very excited about Jon joining our program."
Baseball has received another commitment for their 2020 roster as Javier Favela has committed to the program.
Hailing from Southeast Whitfield High School in Dalton, Ga, Favela will add depth to the pitching staff of the Cougars.
“We are excited about Javey joining our program,” head coach Mike Policastro said. “He is a good player that has a tremendous upside. We are anxious to see him progress on the mound.”
Jordan Wagers, who is currently a freshman at Cleveland State, has signed her letter of intent to run for the Lady Cougars in the fall.
Wagers currently has a 4.0 GPA in the honors program at the college and will also serve as class president in the fall. She attended Cleveland High School, starting on the varsity soccer team three of her four years there.
"I'm very excited to sign with the Cleveland State Cross Country team," Wagers said of the opportunity. "I really enjoy running and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team."
Head Coach David Kyle also was pleased to add Wagers to the roster, saying, "I am very excited to add Jordan to our women's cross country team. She is a great student athlete. She will bring her 4.0 GPA to go with my three other freshman with a 4.0. She is an exceptional young lady and I know she has the work ethic to be a solid runner for us next season."
