Privett Named Director Of Service Operations At BlueCross

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has selected Crystal Privett as director of service operations for member benefits administration. 

Ms. Privett will lead teams providing customer service and claims support for the company’s commercial and Marketplace members. In her new role, she will oversee a variety of functions including employee training and development, performance optimization, benefits coordination, customer service and support operations.

A 26-year veteran of BlueCross, Ms. Privett has held a variety of leadership positions related to claims, customer service, research, training and quality. She most recently served as manager of provider operations support for the commercial line of business as well as the BlueCard service line, which works with a national program to help members obtain health care services while traveling or living in another Blue Plan’s service area. 

“Crystal brings a customer-focused approach to process improvement and a wealth of experience to her work,” said Maria Darras, vice president of commercial operations for BlueCross. “Her leadership helps us provide peace of mind to the members and providers we serve.” 

Ms. Privett earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from UTC. She is also a graduate of UTC’s Executive Leadership Program.
