Dalton Police Seek Information On Hoverboard Shoplifter

  • Wednesday, September 25, 2019
The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who shoplifted a hoverboard from a store in the mall. The shoplifting was recorded by store surveillance.

The theft happened just before noon on Sept. 21, at the “Gadgets” store in the Dalton Mall at 816 Walnut Square Blvd. The suspect walked into the store’s entrance and appeared to look at the display of Hoverway Maxx hoverboards, valued at $150.
After looking towards the back of the store, apparently looking for store employees, the man then picked up a green hoverboard and walked out of the store.

The suspect is a black male who wore jean shorts and a red and blue jacket over a white shirt and a red baseball cap. The suspect had a mustache and wore glasses and a pair of sneakers that did not appear to be self-lacing.

Anyone who recognizes this suspect or has any other information about this incident is asked to contact Officer Jonathan Parson at 706 278-9085, ext. 9594 or by email at jparson@daltonga.gov.
