County Clerk Bill Knowles announced that Tennessee is one of the states permitting citizens to apply online for a replacement Social Security card.
Mr. Knowles said, “This online service is especially helpful for persons needing a Social Security card when making application for a Real ID Driver’s License. Applicants must open an account to obtain the replacement card, but persons requiring a name change on their Social Security account must apply at a Social Security office."
