Hamilton County Has 111 New COVID Cases, Highest Number Since Aug. 28, And Another Death

Hamilton County had one more death from the coronavirus on Wednesday, as the toll climbed to 106. There were 111 new cases, compared to 97 on Tuesday, bringing the total to 11,497. This is the highest number of new cases since Aug. 28.

There have been 10,500 people recover from the virus in the county, 91 percent, and there are 891 active cases, up 30 since Tuesday.

There are currently 82 people hospitalized in Hamilton County, and two more suspected cases, from the virus. This is the highest number of hospitalizations since Aug. 8. There are 26 Hamilton County residents hospitalized and 20 people in intensive care. 

There were 2,292 new coronavirus cases in the state on Wednesday for a total of 235,861.

 

Tennessee had 18 more coronavirus deaths bringing the total to 2,970, state Health Department officials said. 

The state currently has 1,243 people hospitalized from the virus, 13 fewer than on Tuesday.

There have been 210,243 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (89 percent).


Testing numbers are above 3.404 million across the state.

Davidson County: 30,155 cases, up 241; 328 deaths, up 2

Knox County: 12,081 cases, up 145; 87 deaths

Bledsoe County:  994 cases, up 70 ; 4 deaths

Bradley County: 3,447 cases, up 13; 22 deaths, up 1

Grundy County: 525 cases, up 1; 10 deaths, up 2

Marion County: 715 cases, up 7; 9 deaths

Meigs County: 297 cases, up 1; 5 deaths

Polk County: 476 cases, up 2; 13 deaths

Rhea County: 1,059 cases, up 10; 16 deaths

Sequatchie County: 330 cases, up 1; 4 deaths
