Sally Williams Boleman, 95, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 17, 2020. 

 

Born in Chickamauga, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Louis Williams and Leda Bell Spangler and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. Her husband Bill Boleman, was the manager of the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, where Sally served as secretary. Together they served the families of the Chattanooga, Ooltewah, Apison, East Brainerd and Harrison communities for 35 years.

 

She was a former member of Duncan Park Baptist Church, but has been a member of the Ooltewah Baptist Church for many years.

 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Life Care of Collegedale and Amedysis Hospice for your love and care.

 

She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson Jonathan and watching him grow up.

 

She was preceded in death by her brother James Huel Williams.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Bill Boleman; daughter, Becky (Steve) Witt; grandson Jonathan (Whitney) Witt; two great-grandsons, Nolan and Carter Witt; several nieces and nephews.  

 

Her desire was to always help others. She has donated her body to science at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Anatomical Donations Program.

 

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

 

The family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at: stjude.org

 

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
