Just north of Dayton, Tn., the new Hampton Family Mountain View Raceway in Spring City has opened for practice.

Under a nearly $200,000 revitalization from its old decrepit Spring City Raceway state, Kelvin and Susan Hampton have put nearly two years of blood and sweat into the quarter mile high banked facility to make it a new state of the art top notch Saturday night dirt track slated for its first race April 4.

Saturday for the first time in nearly three years a plethora of different types of race cars took to the track for the first practice.

Social media reviews are raving over the speedway a unique tight bull ring of a race track unlike others in the region. From Late Models to Open Wheel Modifieds and Dwarf/Legend cars, MVR is expected to reignite the Tennessee Valley racing community weekly picking up where the old Cleveland Speedway left off two years ago when it was sold for land development.

Fans will find many similarities to the Cleveland facility, mostly the "Up Close/In Your Face" tight racing on track.

The track's website www.MountainViewRaceway.com has further information including 2020 rules, schedule and payouts.
