After a Friday night rainout the Chattanooga Lookouts played two against the Biloxi Shuckers Saturday, dropping the first game 7-2 and winning the night cap 5-2. The Lookouts have now won three of five games against the Shuckers with the finale coming Sunday afternoon. Biloxi leads the Southern Division while Chattanooga leads the Northern Division.
In Game One Chattanooga jumped ahead early on a Sal Stewart homerun and a Jay Allen II double but Biloxi answered with six runs in the fifth inning. Reliever Drew Parrish gave up four earned runs and recorded just one out to take the loss.
In Game Two the Lookouts again jumped ahead scoring their first three runs on sacrifice flies, one aided by a throwing error. In the fifth inning an Edwin Arroyo double and Sal Stewart's second sac fly of the game gave the Lookouts their fourth and fifth runs.
Starting pitcher Ryan Cardona was brilliant for the Lookouts, falling just two outs short of a complete game in the seven inning contest. He allowed just three hits with three strikeouts and moves to 2-2 on the year.
