Rita Stella Salloga, 91, of Chattanooga, died on November 7, 2021, at home.

 

A resident of Chattanooga since 1970. Rita was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She loved being a homemaker and volunteering with senior friends for many years.

 

She was the daughter of the late Stella and Clarence McDermott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Salloga and son-in law, John Jones.

 

Survivors are her daughter, Donna Jones, Jasper, and son, David Salloga and his partner, Lance McGinnis, Front Royal, Va., and grandsons and wives, Adam and Jenny Jones, Chattanooga, Dale and Trish Jones, Chattanooga, and great-grandchildren, Matheu, Azera, Savannah, Avalon, and Tyler.

 

A Memorial Mass will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Chattanooga, on Monday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to Scenic City Senior Friends, In Memory of:  Rita Salloga, c/o Parkridge Medical Center, 2333 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.

 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
